The Frost Branches
Descendants of Thomas and Virginia Frost
These photos show Dr. Thomas Frost, Virginia White Frost and their descendants. The Frosts came to Oklahoma Indian Territory from Missouri in the 1890s, settling in Erin Springs. The small community was on the banks of the Washita River in the Chickasaw Nation near what is now Lindsay, Okla.
The Frost-O'Connor branch
This line extends from the marriage of Rosanell Frost and Edwin O'Connor. "Nell" was working in Sierra Blanca, Texas, where relatives of her mother had a ranch. "Eddie" was a Cavalry lieutenant who was with an Army detachment that sought to capture the notorious Mexican bandit Poncho Villa.
The Frost-White branch
This is the line of Tom's paternal grandmother, Mazie Cecil Frost. Dr. Thomas Joshua Frost and his wife, Virginia White Frost, brought their five daughters to Oklahoma Indian Territory from Missouri in the latter 19th Century. They settled in Erin Springs, in the Chickasaw Nation, around 1895.
