Victria Family Photos
These photo albums are of the various branches of the Victria family. The Victria family first appears in our research in Gum Creek, Newton County, Georgia, in the mid-1800s. Noah Lewis Victria, his wife Ella Kimble Victria and their 10 children later show up in the 1900 census in Rusk County, Texas. Several of the Victria children migrated to southern Oklahoma in the first decade of the 20th Century, including Tom’s grandfather, Carl Lewis Victria.
Noah apparently divorced Ella and remarried Martha Leatherwood in 1903. Ella went back to Georgia, where she died in 1923. But the trail goes cold for Noah and Martha, with no records of their lives or deaths after 1903.
The descendants of Noah L. Victria
Noah Lewis Victria first shows up in the Georgia census in 1860, and that census record indicates his father was born in Georgia. That is where the Victria trail goes cold. Later records show that Noah, his wife Ella Kimble Victria and their 10 children moved to Rusk County, Texas. Carl Lewis Victria and his brother Horry (not a typo), two of four Victria brothers, continued north to the town of Bradley in the Chickasaw Nation in Oklahoma Indian Territory.
